Our team completed the full transformation of a derelict stable in Hitchin, converting the space into a modern, high-quality commercial unit. The project required careful demolition, structural upgrades, and a complete rebuild to meet commercial standards for its new occupants.
Prior to commencing the build, our team undertook reinforcement improvements to ensure the existing foundations were fit to support the new structure. The completed barn conversion now supports a formal change of use to commercial, providing a modern office environment alongside a compliant, fully serviced storage area.
The project involved demolition, new brickwork, roofing, external cladding, and M&E services.
The storage area was fully wired and OSB lined with a dura slip floor finish and the new office area received a new kitchenette, a single WC and a function desk space for up to 3 people. The final layout included two separate access doors, ensuring practical division between office and storage functions.
